The Gulf Coast Museum of Art is seeking an experienced, creative,
team-oriented and highly motivated individual to fill a new position
of Educational Classes Coordinator.
The candidate will be responsible for the execution and development of
studio classes for adults and children, instructor/student relations and
daily operations of the studio classrooms.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop class offerings to include adult and children’s classes and summer camps for children.
- Develop course descriptions, design class brochure copy, coordinate publishing and maintain website content and on-line registration.
- Responsible for registration and enrollment, returns and transfers, cancellations, promotion of classes, purchase of materials, and room maintenance.
- Prepare and provide teacher contracts, scheduling and appropriate payment information.
- Maintain any subcontractor partnerships for the classrooms on behalf of the Museum.
- Prepare budget and oversee maintenance of statistics, data entry and retrieval for the program.
Qualifications
- Computer literate (Microsoft Access, Adobe Photoshop, Scanning devices)
- Knowledge of Florida artists, local instructors and Southeastern craft
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Good management, teamwork and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- A minimum of three (3) years of education management experience
- A minimum of a four-year degree in art history or fine arts
