Emergency Planning

EMPR

The Florida Association of Museums Foundation’s (FAMF) Emergency Planning & Response Program is the result of a partnership between FAMF, Florida Humanities and the National Endowment of the Humanities. Beginning in 2020, FAMF conducted a series of workshops to assist cultural institutions with the creation or updating of their emergency and response plans.

The second part of the project was the creation of this online platform meant to provide a user-friendly, best-practices process for emergency planning. With the assistance of a diverse team of professionals from both small and large cultural institutions throughout the state, as well as the oversight of professional consultants, we have culled through hundreds of emergency planning resources and selected the most current and useful tools for Florida’s cultural institutions.
